Hamilton: "No desire to fix Rosberg friendship"

Lewis Hamilton says he has no desire to fix his relationship with his former teammate Nico Rosberg. As they bitterly fought for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 championships at dominant Mercedes, the former friends became enemies. "They were so bad that they didn't even say hello in the morning," Mercedes team chairman and F1 legend Niki Lauda said.
But after Rosberg beat Hamilton to the 2016 world championship, the German suddenly quit. Rosberg said a month ago: "We were very good friends in the past, but it can happen again in the future. We're not rivals anymore, I'm completely out of it, so I don't see why we could not get along well after some time," he added.
However, when pondering a rekindling of their friendship, the German admitted that he and Hamilton are currently "not at that point yet". And Hamilton has now told Stuttgarter Zeitung newspaper: "I last talked to Nico in Japan, but I do not invest any energy in changing our relationship." (GMM)

He could use some maturity, or may be senior Hamilton could talk to him over a drink.

Is it me, or is Hamilton not really popular among his fellow drivers? I understand Nico, but Vettel, Alonso and Button? Mind, he didnt really seem to have an as fierce relationship with Button, but then again most seemed to get along with that bloke.

The way Hamilton conducts himself in interviews or when he's in the spotlight feels very artificial, plastered on. Maybe the other drivers are getting tired of the act. He seems to follow a set pattern, e.g. ask him a question, any question, after the race and you won't get an answer, instead he'll say: "First of all, look at this crowd! Isn't it great, we always have the best crowd here"... "Big thanks to the team... Valteri did a good job..." I'm just so tired of him.

First of all misleading title. Second, once again Lewis says something thy makes me dislike him even more. He is obviously sore about something. He too should do like Ayrton and get over it. Their relationship was nothing like Alain and Ayrton.

Actually it sort of was. Looking at the two went at one another on the track it certainly seem to be the case.

if there is F1 promotional event like it was in London prior to GP or Hall of fame opening you know he's not coming ... driving F1 is his job, being socialite is his life

Agree, he looks like a big baby in some of his interviews, but when i think about it, he's a decisive character and 50% of there press will always criticise what he does, whenever he does it so you can sort of see why he's sometimes bland in answering questions. TBH - iw wish they would just scrap interviews, too boring - never learn anything from them don't you think?

No surprise he isn't. A driver who never was thought of as a top 5 driver beats Hamilton and everyone else takes away from Hamiltons level of greatness.
