Nico Rosberg says he was not to blame for a technical issue that contributed to the crash with Lewis Hamilton last Sunday. After Mercedes team chairman pointed the clear finger of blame at Hamilton, boss Toto Wolff explained that it was German Rosberg who was in "the wrong engine setting".
"That was the reason he was significantly slower than Lewis," he said. "This explains why everything happened so quickly." The implication is that Rosberg simply made a technical mistake under the new anti-radio communication regime, but the championship leader denies that.
"Suddenly I lacked power," Rosberg told Bild newspaper on Tuesday after testing in Barcelona. "The switch for the engine mode was not in the correct position so we need to investigate why that was so," he added. Rosberg said he even attempted to correct the situation mid-corner "but nothing happened".
As for whether he or Hamilton should take any of the blame, the German did not want to talk about it. "It felt good to be back in the car (for testing) but Barcelona is finished now and I'm only thinking of Monaco. "We go there with confidence but also keeping our minds on Red Bull and Ferrari," he added.
As for Mercedes' chances in Monaco, he answered: "I'm confident that we will be very competitive there. Clearly I want to get my fourth win in a row." (GMM)

Here is the thing, Lewis saw the harvesting mode lights on Nico's tail and then decided to pounce, it was not like he wasn't aware. The butthurt boy was too foolish to try in the place he tried. A level headed person would have gone around the outside after selling Nico a dummy to the inside. Vettel did that move on Sainz and it worked just fine. Shows you the merc clown has no skill or thinking capacity whatsoever when it counted.

lol this www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-FQ_uLqfGw gives a penalty,- but focing a driver completely off track doesnt.. Merc drivers are immune to penalties.

How about this... Rosberg senses he's suddenly down on power, but doesn't know the cause or if it means his race will be over soon. He doesn't want to let Hamilton past at any cost and has to think fast, so he forces him off the track whilst he still can... the rest is history. Just thinking out loud!

If Rosberg have a new engine in Monaco ,than Is he the bad boy ,what for Ham very strange are,he let Ros going very easy on the outside of the first corner,while he can push him very easy outside the track,in the second corner was ros not so nice? he see ham coming (look to slowmotion picyure of the crash he turn his head to the right just before the coallision)If wolf said no accindents i give Ros the blame .he moved from left to right only to cut of the track from his teammate because he was much slower .
