Sebastian Vettel has said that Max Verstappen is still wild and inexperienced in his on track defending after their latest on track battle at the British Grand Prix. Verstappen has said in retort that Vettel has no right to complain, especially as it appeared that they both pushed each other off the track during their on track battles at Silverstone and Vettel seemed to be just as aggressive.
Vettel has been skating on thin ice in terms of penalty points on his licence, having 9 points up until the British Grand Prix and potentially one incident away from a race ban. Plus there were calls to give Vettel a race ban after he deliberately hit Hamilton at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, with many saying he was lucky to get away without a race ban.
However, it was Vettel complaining about Verstappen’s driving saying: "He has more experience now and has become calmer, but Max is still a little wild in his defending."
Verstappen retorted to these remarks in earnest saying that he should be more worried about his own driving record, as he only has one penalty point and would not take Vettel's complaint seriously.
He said: "Especially after what happened last time when he got penalty points on his license," was a cause for concern undoubtedly referring to the incident in Baku
