Sebastian Vettel says that he is expecting to have another smooth partnership at Ferrari when Charles Leclerc joins for the 2019 season. The Monegasque driver will replace Kimi Raikkonen, who returns to Sauber - the team he began his F1 career at.
Vettel often cited his 'no bullshit' relationship with Raikkonen throughout their four years together at the Scuderia outfit. The two enjoyed a trouble-free partnership, which saw Vettel consistently out-perform the Finnish driver.
Although there will be a big shift in the driver line-up, Vettel is not expecting the mood within the camp to change: “I think it doesn’t matter who you are racing in the team, you always try to win, and that means you also beat whoever is driving with you in the same team," he said.
"So I don’t think that changes. Obviously, Charles is different to Kimi, so we will see how it goes, but I think he’s a good kid. One thing for sure that I enjoyed a lot in the last years is the mutual respect that we have for each other.
“I think we never had to deal with any bullshit between ourselves, so that made it easier for me, easier for him I guess and easier for the team," the four-time world champion continued.
“But I’m not expecting anything in that direction from Charles. I think he’s a good kid. Obviously the team knows him very well for a while now, since he’s grown in the Ferrari Drivers Academy. [I’m] happy for him, and then we’ll see how it works out.”

As long as Sebastian is beating Leclerc the way he did with Kimi...Expect outburts and dramas if Leclerc pulls a Danny Ric on Seb. I so hope Leclerc turns out to be as good as we think he is.
