Leclerc tops the morning session at day two in Barcelona

Charles Leclerc has topped the morning test session in Barcelona, setting a lap time of 1:18.247.

Leclerc's fastest time was just a tenth slower than Vettel's fastest time from Monday, which was also set in the morning session. Magnussen ended the session in second place, with a time one second slower than Leclerc's.

Magnussen's day got off to a slow start, mirroring Haas' first morning from the Circuit de Catalunya. The Dane managed to complete laps for the American squad, doing most of his running in the final two hours of the session.

Antonio Giovinazzi was third for Alfa Romeo, leading the McLaren of Lando Norris by almost two-tenths of a second.

Pierre Gasly was fifth for Red Bull, who continued to show good mileage with the Honda engine, as the Frenchman clocked 69 laps. Daniel Ricciardo completed the last amount of laps of any driver, driving 28 laps for his new Renault team.

Lewis Hamilton followed the Australian, setting 74 laps - the most of any driver. Alexander Albon was eighth but had his day get off to a shaky start after he spun on his out lap in the morning. Lance Stroll rounded out the timesheets in the Racing Point.
