Patrick en Andretti gaan racen voor Team USA

Michael Andretti heeft zojuist bekend gemaakt dat het A1GP Team USA dit seizoen gaat racen met Danica Patrick en Marco Andretti. De Amerikaanse legende (zie foto) is met Andretti Green Racing dit jaar seatholder van de Amerikaanse wagen in de klasse.

Andretti: "We zijn blij met deze bekendmaking, want het is een goede mogelijkheid voor Danica en Marco om te leren op stratencircuits te rijden, met het oog op de IRL in 2009. Ook zijn ze allebei erg enthousiast over het concept van de A1GP, om te racen voor je vaderland."

Tijdens de race van dit weekeinde in Zandvoort zal Charlie Kimball achter het stuur plaats nemen, de volgende race in China is dat waarschijnlijk iemand anders.

    Ja, wat heeft Michael Andretti ooit gepresteerd?

    Hij is ooit Indycar kampioen geweest (of hoe het toendertijd ook heette). Maar maakt dat je een legende? Volgens mij kwam hij op basis daarvan in de F1. Dat werd een enorme blamage waardoor hij na een paar races al kon inpakken.
