Tilke bestudeert circuitmogelijkheden in Rome

Hermann Tilke, de man die verantwoordelijk is voor het ontwerp van bijna alle moderne Formule 1-circuits, is deze week opgedoken in Rome. Dat schrijft Gazzetta dello Sport. De Italiaanse hoofdstad wil vanaf 2011 een Grand Prix organiseren.

De aanwezigheid van Tilke in Rome suggereert dat Bernie Ecclestone het plan voor een race in de Italiaanse hoofdstad wel ziet zitten, aangezien Ecclestone de Formule 1-kalender beheert. Tilke heeft drie mogelijke lay-outs in het zuidwesten van Rome bekeken en het beschikbare budget zou 50 miljoen euro bedragen.
