BMW Sauber roept op tot verhoging minimumgewicht

Het minimumgewicht van Formule 1-auto’s is gedateerd na de introductie van KERS. De 605 kilo die een bolide inclusief rijder moet wegen is te weinig, zo vindt BMW Sauber-teambaas Mario Theissen. Het werkt ongezonde toestanden met coureurs in de hand.

Veel van de rijders hebben de afgelopen maanden namelijk alles gedaan om gewicht te verliezen, zodat ze meer ballastgewicht kunnen gebruiken om de balans van hun auto te verbeteren. Geen goede zaak, oordeelt Theissen. “Om te voorkomen dat de Formule 1 om het gewicht van de coureurs gaat draaien, zoals met jockeys in de paardensport het geval is, roepen wij op tot verhoging van het minimumgewicht van de wagens voor de toekomst.”

    Als Mario de lange Kubica niet in z\'n team had gehad had deze duitse snorremans lkkr z\'n mond dichtgehouden.

      Beste Sander, Mario heeft na de GP van Brazilie in 2007 aangegeven dat McLaren een punt had toen ze protest aantekende tegen de uitslag ivm de brandstoftemperatuur bij BMW en Williams. BMW was in die race 5e en 6e geworden. Ik denk dat jij lkkr je mond moet houden. Of misschien dat je eerst ervaring op kan doen bij Formule 1 Junior.
