Oorinfectie speelt Fernando Alonso parten

Renault-coureur Fernando Alonso kampt met een oorinfectie. Alle activiteiten die voor vandaag op het circuit van Sepang gepland stonden laat hij aan zich voorbij gaan, de Spanjaard is teruggekeerd naar zijn hotel om rust te nemen.

De tweevoudig wereldkampioen mist daardoor alle briefings, maar Renault verwacht hem morgen gewoon in de auto voor de vrije trainingen. Een woordvoerster van de Franse renstal verklaarde: “Het zal wel goed komen voor morgen, het was beter dat hij nu zijn rust pakte.”
