Formule E onthult tijdschema voor racedag bij ePrixs

De Formule E heeft twee keer een geheel evenement gesimuleerd tijdens recente testdagen op het circuit van Donington Park. Tot de simulatie behoorden onder andere het nabootsen van een racedag, het uitvoeren van pitstops en een staande start.

De nieuwe elektrische raceklasse onthulde gelijk maar het tijdschema voor de ePrixs in het debuutseizoen 2014/2015. De coureurs en teamleden beginnen vroeg op de dag aan vrije trainingen en besluiten uiteindelijk met een race die ongeveer een uur duurt. De kwalificatie is opgedeeld in vier groepen van elk vijf coureurs. Dat gebeurt volledig willekeurig.

Het volledige tijdschema voor een ePrix:
08.15 - 09.00 uur - Eerste vrije training
10.30 - 11.00 uur - Tweede vrije training

12.00 - 12.10 uur - Kwalificatie Groep 1
12.15 - 12.25 uur - Kwalificatie Groep 2
12.30 - 12.40 uur - Kwalificatie Groep 3
12.45 - 12.55 uur - Kwalificatie Groep 4

16.00 uur – Race

    Het is wel slim om alles op 1 dag te doen natuurlijk. Ik ben benieuwd of deze klasse een succes gaat worden. Het is natuurlijk hele mooie technologie maar het geluid wat uit deze wagens komt is niet echt aantrekkelijk.

    @Distirtion: niet echt aantrekkelijk??? Lijkt gvd helemaal nergens op, lijken wel centrifuges! Wat een aanfluiting. Racen doe je op benzine. Of methanol. Punt. .
