Sebastien Buemi baalt van foutjes in de slotfase

Scuderia Toro Rosso-coureur Sebastien Buemi scoorde in Valencia voor de tweede opeenvolgende maal punten, maar de Zwitser was niet blij met zijn achtste plek. Hij reed lange tijd zesde en verloor door eigen foutjes nog twee plaatsen. Na de race behoorde ook hij tot de groep coureurs met een tijdstraf, waardoor hij nog terug zakte naar de negende positie.

Buemi baalt. “Het was uiteindelijk geen goede race, want ik had zesde kunnen eindigen. Ik beging twee misstappen die ons punten hebben gekost. Ik ben tevreden met weer punten, maar teleurgesteld omdat ik het beter had kunnen doen. De zevende plek verloor ik aan Kamui Kobayashi. Ik wist dat hij op nieuwe banden veel sneller was dan ik en in de voorlaatste ronde blokkeerde ik mijn wielen vaak. In de laatste bocht dacht ik niet dat hij zo laat kon remmen als hij deed, de fout om hem daar voorbij te laten gaan stemt me niet vrolijk.”

    Dat snap ik dat je dan baalt hij had het gewoon niet verwacht, tja stom van hem om zo in de laatste bocht nog een plaats te verliezen. Maar vond het wel gaaf van Kobayashi.
