Verstappen lacht om reusachtige Pirelli-troffee

Max Verstappen won afgelopen weekend in Abu Dhabi zijn negentiende Grand Prix van het seizoen. Hij sloot zijn derde kampioensjaar daarmee in stijl af. De beker voor de zege was echter niet de enige prijs die hij mee naar huis mocht nemen, bandenleverancier Pirelli had ook nog een prijs voor hem klaarliggen.

Verstappen is namelijk de coureur met de meeste pole positions in het afgelopen Formule1-seizoen. Pirelli reikt elk weekend al een kleine award uit voor de coureur met de pole, maar in Abu Dhabi ontving Verstappen een iets grotere prijs voor zijn polerecord. Uit de handen van rallykampioen Kalle Rovanperä kreeg Verstappen een enorm Pirelli-band, hij vroeg zich grappend af hoe hij deze mee naar huis kan nemen.
