Williams reserveert debuut FW35 voor Pastor Maldonado

Het team van Williams presenteert dinsdag als laatste Formule 1-renstal haar bolide voor 2013. Niet veel later verschijnt de FW35 voor het eerst op de baan bij de testsessie in Barcelona. Aan Pastor Maldonado de eer om als eerste kennis te maken met de nieuwe wagen uit Grove.

Nieuweling en debutant Valtteri Bottas voelt op woensdag de nieuwe auto voor het eerst aan de tand. De twee Williams-coureur delen de overige twee dagen op het Circuit de Catalunya, met voor beiden tijd op zowel de donderdag als de vrijdag.

In Barcelona komt ook Fernando Alonso voor het eerst in actie. Hij rijdt drie dagen voor Ferrari, nadat hij in Jerez schitterde door afwezigheid. Giedo van der Garde neemt donderdag en vrijdag plaats in de Caterham. Bij McLaren zijn de eerste twee dagen gereserveerd voor Sergio Perez, waarna hij de MP4-28 overdraagt aan Jenson Button.
