Kourosh Khani treedt als eerste Iraniër toe tot Formule 2

Kourosh Khani heeft zich ingeschreven om komend seizoen in de Formule 2 te racen. De 22-jarige rijder is de eerste coureur uit Iran in de geschiedenis van de opstapklasse. Vorig jaar was hij actief in het Formule Renault BARC-kampioenschap, waarin hij als vierde eindigde.

Khani: "Ik ben heel blij en opgewonden om de competitie in de Formule 2 aan te gaan. Ik heb lange tijd op deze mogelijkheid gewacht en het doet me deugd dat ik komend weekend op de grid sta in Silverstone. Dit is een volgende stap in mijn carrière. De tests verliepen goed en ik ben van plan om die lijn komend weekend door te trekken en veel te leren over de auto."

      Vergis je niet, ook in Iran zijn er nog heel veel schat- en schatrijke mensen te vinden.
