RP Motorsport promoveert Damiano Fioravanti

De Formule V8 3.5-grid voor het seizoen 2017 krijgt steeds meer gestalte. Het team van RP Motorsport heeft nu ook een eerste naam voor de nieuwe line-up bekendgemaakt. De renstal schuift de 20-jarige Damiano Fioravanti door naar de World Series Formule V8 3.5.

Fioravanti kwam de afgelopen twee seizoen voor RP Motorsport uit in de Euroformula Open, waarin de Italiaan beslag legde op respectievelijk de zevende en de vijfde plaats in de eindstand. "Ik ben verguld om in 2017 tot het gilde der Formule V8 3.5-coureurs te behoren. Het betekent een buitengewone kans voor mij en ik ben zeer enthousiast over dit nieuwe avontuur."

"Deze stap komt op het juiste moment in mijn carrière, na enkele jaren ervaring opgedaan te hebben in de Euroformula Open. Ik heb de Formule V8 3.5-auto in december bij een test in Jerez al aan de tand gevoeld en de eerste indruk was geweldig. Het wordt een opwindende uitdaging in een prestigieus kampioenschap. Het is tijd om RP Motorsport terug te betalen voor het vertrouwen."
