Renger van der Zande: "Dit was ronduit belachelijk"

Renger van der Zande beleefde op Silverstone opnieuw een baalweekend. De Nederlander scoorde geen punten dankzij problemen met de motor, die niet het volledige vermogen leverde. Voor de volgende races op de Hockenheimring krijgt hij een nieuwe krachtbron.

Van der Zande hoopt op beterschap. “Nul punten door een motor die gewoon niet doet wat hij moet doen. De lol is er nu wel af. Ik rij me het licht uit de ogen, maar als je op het rechte stuk een halve seconde verliest, is er iets absoluut niet in de haak. Voor de volgende race in Hockenheim krijg ik een nieuwe motor. Hopelijk kan ik dan laten zien wat ik waard ben, want dit was ronduit belachelijk.”
