Introductie van nieuw aerodynamisch pakket uitgesteld tot 2013

IndyCar-CEO Randy Bernard heeft vandaag bevestigd dat de nieuwe generatie auto's pas in 2013 zullen worden ingezet. Vorige week werd de eerste test afgelegd met het nieuwe aerodynamische pakket dat in eerste instantie volgend seizoen al zou worden ingevoerd.

"Het belangrijkste wat we als organisatie van de IndyCar Series kunnen doen, is handelen in het belang van de teams en onze partners", vertelde Bernard. "Het is belangrijk dat we volgend jaar veel inschrijvingen behouden door de kosten niet op te laten lopen. We moeten naar de teameigenaren luisteren en samen tot de beste oplossing komen."
