Audi sterk op openingsdag DTM-seizoen

Audi is sterk begonnen aan het nieuwe DTM-seizoen. In de eerste training op het circuit van Hockenheim reed Eduardo Mortara de snelste tijd in de Abt-Audi. Op de tweede plek vinden we Jamie Green in de Audi van Team Rosberg. Debutant Esteban Ocon eindigde de eerste dag in de achterhoede,

De verschillen in de eerste training waren klein. Het verschil tussen de tweede man en de langzaamste man was nog geen seconde. Mortara was een halve sneller dan de concurrentie, de gaten daarachter waren een stuk kleiner.

Mercedes kende een matige start van het weekend. De beste Mercedes staat pas op plek zeven en is samen met Paul di Resta de enige van de acht Mercedes-coureurs in de top tien.

Het DTM-weekend gaat vandaag verder met de afsluitende vrije training, kwalificatie en ook de eerste race wordt vandaag verreden.
