Tom Blomqvist op pole voor race twee door straf van Ekstrom

BMW-coureur Tom Blomqvist start de tweede race van het DTM-weekend van pole position. Mattias Ekstrom reed de snelste tijd in de kwalificatie, maar start als vierde vanwege een gridstraf van drie plaatsen. De gridstraf werd toegekend aan Ekstrom na de eerste race waarin hij Christian Vietoris en Robert Wickens aanreed. Paul di Resta vergezelt Blomqvist op de eerste rij.

Ekstrom zal de race als vierde starten voor Nico Muller. Lucas Auer en Maxime Martin delen de derde startrij. De top wordt besloten door Eduardo Mortara (winnaar race een), Robert Wickens, Adrian Tambay en Marco Wittmann.

De tweede race begint straks om 13:00 uur en is te volgen op de Duitse zender ARD.

Wickens and Adrien Tambay were next up, with race one winner Edoardo Mortara and Marco Wittmann rounding out the top 10 in qualifying.

Gary Paffett was 18th, although the Briton's sessions was brought to an early end after contact with the Turn 5 wall.
