Ecclestone bevestigt dat Mexico af is gevallen voor 2014

De Grand Prix van Mexico keert volgend jaar niet terug op de Formule 1-kalender. Dat gaf Bernie Ecclestone in Marca toe. Een race op het Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City stond op het voorlopige schema, maar de tijd is te krap voor de benodigde renovatie van het circuit.

Ecclestone bevestigde: "We zullen volgend seizoen niet naar India en Mexico gaan." De commerciële baas van de Formule 1 zweeg verder over het lot van de Grands Prix in Zuid-Korea en New Jersey, twee races die ook op de nominatie staan om nog af te vallen, voor 2014.
