Video: Wijzigingen voor 2014 treffend in beeld

Voor 2014 verandert er het nodige in de Formule 1. Niet alleen stapt de sport over op een nieuwe motorformule, maar ook op de aerodynamica hebben de nieuwe reglementen een grote impact. Een smallere voorvleugel, een lagere neus en een enkele uitlaat centraal achter de auto zijn slechts een paar voorbeelden van de wijzigingen. Giorgio Piola componeerde dit animatiefilmpje om de aanpassingen treffend in beeld te brengen.

      Dit is het voorbeeld zoals de FIA het voor zich zag toen ze de regels maakte.
      Ontwerpers zullen tot het gaatje gaan, dus het een en ander zal wel anders eruit zien.

      Vooral is er de angst dat teams de \"miereneter\" neus als oplossing gaan gebruiken voor de lagere neus. Daarmee heeft de FIA na de getrapte neus opnieuw niet goed nagedacht bij het formuleren van de regels. teams gebruiken gewoon weer de hoge neus, maar verkorte die een beetje naar achter, en het voorste gedeelte wordt voorzien van een smal puntje die naar beneden wordt gericht om aan de regels te voldoen. Opnieuw de falen van de FIA, want het gevaar bij een zij-mpact blijft op deze manier.

      Verder zullen ook de luchtinlaten zo groot mogelijk gemaakt worden, om de nieuwe Turbo V6 en ERS zo goed mogelijk te koelen, deze worden heter dan de atmosferische V8.

      De auto in het filmpje ziet er mooi uit, de lage neus doet denken aan de auto\'s van begin jaren 90, maar ga er maar vanuit dat het lelijke miereneter neuzen worden, of een parodie erop. Ook zie ik wellicht een parodie van Walrus-neus zoals Williams deze had weer terugkeren...
