Leonardo DiCaprio betrokken bij nieuw Formule E-team

Acteur Leonardo DiCaprio slaat de handen ineen met Venturi Automobiles voor een Formule E-team. Daarmee is de grid voor de nieuwe elektrische klasse vol. Venturi Grand Prix zal vanuit Monaco opereren en is de tiende renstal voor de Formule E.

DiCaprio: "De toekomst van onze planeet hangt af van onze capaciteit om efficiënte en energiezuinige voertuigen te omarmen. Venturi Grand Prix heeft een vooruitziende blik getoond door dit milieuvriendelijke raceteam op te zetten en ik ben blij daar onderdeel van uit te maken."

Venturi Grand Prix voegt zich bij Andretti Autosport, Dragon Racing, China Racing, Super Aguri, Mahindra Racing, Drayson Racing, e.dams, Audi Sport ABT en Virgin Racing. Het eerste Formule E-seizoen gaat in september 2014 van start.
