Ferrari doet beroep op De la Rosa en Bianchi voor bandentest

Het team van Ferrari heeft de line-up voor de Pirelli-test van volgende week bekend gemaakt. Namens de Scuderia zullen testrijder Pedro de la Rosa en Marussia-coureur Jules Bianchi in actie komen in Bahrein. Fernando Alonso laat de sessie met de banden voor 2014 aan zich voorbij gaan.

Ferrari meldt in een verklaring: "De la Rosa en Bianchi zullen tijdens de door Pirelli georganiseerde test in Bahrein van 17 tot en met 19 december in de F138 kruipen. Hoewel de bandenleverancier het datamanagement en het dagelijkse schema bepaalt neemt Pedro de eerste twee dagen voor zijn rekening om de ontwikkeling van onze simulator te meten. Bianchi krijgt op de laatste dag de kans om zijn progressie tentoon te spreiden."

Niet alleen Alonso ontbreekt, ook Sebastian Vettel schittert volgende week door afwezigheid. De Red Bull Racing-coureur is op vakantie, laat zijn woordvoerster weten. Scuderia Toro Rosso heeft wel het nieuwe rijdersduo Jean-Eric Vergne en Daniil Kvyat opgeroepen, stelt Speed Week.
