Causeway Media Partners investeert miljoenen in Formule E

De Formule E heeft een nieuwe slag geslagen. De nieuwe elektrische klasse heeft investeringsfonds Causeway Media Partners aan zich gebonden. Daarmee is een investering van meerdere miljoenen gemoeid. Wyc Grousbeck, mede-oprichter van Causeway Media Partners en eigenaar van NBA-team Boston Celtics, krijgt een zetel in het bestuur van de Formule E.

Grousbeck: "Het doet me deugd om aan te kondigen dat Causeway Media Partners een breed netwerk van eigenaren uit de NBA en NFL, alsmede uit de mediawereld en enkele erkende investeerders, naar de Formule E heeft gebracht. Wij geloven dat deze klasse een grote stap in de evolutie van autosport behelst en een geweldige manier is om miljoenen mensen te vermaken in combinatie met de ontwikkeling van elektrisch vervoer. Ons doel is om de Formule E een wereldwijde sensatie te maken."
