Motorenbouwer Cosworth heeft een geheel nieuw bestuur aangesteld. Daarin zetelt naast voormalig Tata Motors-topman Carl-Peter Forster en Alan Donnelly, oprichter van Sovereign Strategy, ook Adam Parr, de oude directeur en voorzitter van het team van Williams, weet The Guardian.

Cosworth hoopt met deze nieuwe bestuursleden de negatieve spiraal te doorbreken. De Britse motorenproducent ondernam in 2012 een poging om de beurs te betreden. Na een winst van 3,9 miljoen pond in 2011 was er een jaar later sprake van een verlies van 7,1 miljoen pond.

Eigenaren Gerry Forsythe en Kevin Kalkhoven zetten Cosworth na de mislukte beursgang te koop. Dat had weer een effect op de omzet, omdat klanten een afwachtende houding innamen. Aan Parr, Forster en Donnelly de taak om Cosworth uit het slop te trekken.
