Button kiest voor startnummer 22, Ricciardo dit jaar met 3

McLaren-coureur Jenson Button start dit jaar met nummer 22. Dat maakte zijn werkgever via Twitter bekend. Button vroeg 22 aan als permanent startnummer omdat hij er goede herinneringen aan bewaart. In 2009 pakte hij met dat nummer voor Brawn GP de wereldtitel.

Red Bull Racing-nieuweling Daniel Ricciardo racet komend seizoen met het startnummer 3. De internationale autosportbond FIA heeft de volledige lijst nog niet vrijgegeven, maar een aantal coureurs is al op de hoogte gebracht, zo zeker van hun zaak zijn ze.
