Dacia ontkent betrokkenheid bij project van Colin Kolles

Colin Kolles onderneemt een nieuwe poging om terug te keren in de Formule 1. Hij behoort tot de gegadigden voor het twaalfde startbewijs voor 2015. De voormalig teambaas van Midland en HRT zou wat Roemeense bedrijven geronseld hebben voor een inschrijving.

Dat schrijft Adam Cooper in zijn blog. Kolles zou niet als teambaas, maar slechts als leverancier voor het nieuwe team gaan optreden. Zijn bedrijf produceert al een LMP1-auto en beschikt ook over de capaciteiten om een Formule 1-wagen te bouwen.

Tussen de Roemeense bedrijven achter dit project zou ook autofabrikant Dacia zitten. Bij het merk zelf weten ze niks van enige betrokkenheid. Het zou dan ook alleen betrekking hebben op de naam van de Renault-krachtbron, die zou dan Dacia gaan heten.
