McLaren sluit nieuwe overeenkomst met sponsor Santander

Het team van McLaren is ook komend seizoen verzekerd van de steun van Santander. De Spaanse bank is al sinds 2007 als sponsor verbonden aan de Britse renstal. Opvallend genoeg is Santander ook geldschieter van een van de grootste concurrenten van McLaren, namelijk Ferrari.

McLaren-marketingdirecteur Ekrem Sami: "Andermaal heeft een globaal A-merk besloten om de handen ineen te slaan met McLaren. Het doet ons deugd om de productieve relatie met Santander voort te zetten. Ze steunen ons al jaren en hebben besloten om ook onderdeel uit te maken van onze opwindende toekomst. Dat een bedrijf van deze omvang in de uiterst competitieve sponsormarkt toch weer voor McLaren heeft gekozen is een weerspiegeling van onze kracht als partner en die van de Formule 1 om de doelgroep te bereiken."
