Jarno Trulli verwacht sterk Toyota in Maleisië

Toyota-coureur Jarno Trulli verwacht dat zijn team dit weekend in Maleisië sterk voor de dag zal komen. De Japanse renstal heeft ook wel wat goed te maken na de tegenvallende Grand Prix van Australië. Trulli kwalificeerde zich in Melbourne nog goed, maar moest de strijd staken vanwege een defect aan de accu van de TF108. Vandaag liet de Italiaan zien dat het met de snelheid van de auto wel goed zit, hij werd zesde.

Trulli: Al met al was het een soepele dag en ik ben tevreden met hoe alles gelopen is. We hebben wat dingen aan de auto aangepast tussen de twee trainingen en toen ging het aanmerkelijk beter. Om echt competitief te zijn moet we echter nog wat problemen oplossen. Het is pas vrijdag en dan kan je eigenlijk nog niks zeggen over de rest van het weekend, maar ik denk dat we het hier goed gaan doen. We zijn hier altijd sterk en ik weet zeker dat we de teleurstelling van Australië gaan wegpoetsen. Alleen regen kan roet in het eten gooien, want dan weet je nooit wat er gaat gebeuren. Ik geef de voorkeur aan een droge race, maar het gaat zijn zoals het gebeurt.
