Button tevreden ondanks puntloze finish

Jenson Button is tevreden over zijn resultaat in de Grand Prix van Maleisië, ondanks een finish buiten de punten voor het Japanse team. De Brit eindigde als tiende, maar toch is de Brit tevreden na vorige week in Australië te zijn uitgevallen. "Het was goed dat we met twee auto's zijn gefinisht zodat we veel bruikbare informatie hebben verkregen voor de komende races. Ik ben tevreden met mijn tiende plaats omdat er gewoon niet meer in zit, dit is waar de auto op dit moment staat. Het middenveld zit erg dicht bij elkaar en als die de race allemaal uitrijden zit er niet meer in."

Rubens Barrichello's race was een stuk moeilijker. Nadat de Braziliaan in Australië zijn punten kwijtraakte door een straf scoort hij ook in Maleisië geen punten. "Ik verloor op de zaterdagochtend veel tijd in de vrije training. Daardoor miste ik een goede balans in de race. Ik moest de hele race vechten met de auto. De drive-through-penalty voor te hard rijden in de pitstraat was erg ongelukkig. De lijn die aangeeft waar de pitstraat is afgelopen was niet erg duidelijk te zien. Maar gelukkig verloor ik er slechts een plaats mee", aldus de Braziliaan.
