Adrian Sutil kijkt nu al uit naar racen met slicks

Net als teamgenoot Vitantonio Liuzzi heeft Force India-coureur Adrian Sutil enorm genoten van zijn eerste keer in een Formule 1-auto op slicks. De jonge Duitser heeft nu al zin om aan het seizoen 2009 te beginnen, zodat hij ook tijdens Grand Prix-weekenden van het profielloze rubber gebruik mag maken.

Sutil: Ik heb voor het eerst kennis gemaakt met slicks op een Formule 1-auto en dat was ontzettend gaaf. De hoeveelheid grip was indrukwekkend, vooral in de laatste sector. Het is wel extra belastend voor je nekspieren, maar dit was een geweldige ervaring. Ik kijk nu al uit naar 2009 wanneer we met slicks gaan racen.

De dag verliep niet vlekkeloos voor de Force India-coureur. In de ochtendsessie had hij een klein probleem met de koppeling. Dat heeft de voorbereiding op de Grand Prix van Spanje echter niet in de war geschopt. De auto was veel beter dan de vorige keer dat we hier waren, in februari. Ik denk dat we optimistisch kunnen zijn voor de komende race, aldus Sutil.
