BMW Sauber kijkt reikhalzend uit naar volgende race

Bij BMW Sauber wordt met toenemende nieuwsgierigheid naar de Grand Prix van Spanje uitgekeken. De eerste race in Europa is traditioneel een teken voor alle teams om hun autos up te daten en de Duitse renstal is ontzettend benieuwd of het ontwikkelingstempo van Ferrari en McLaren bijgehouden kan worden. BMW Sauber gaat het Europese seizoen in ieder geval als kampioenschapleider in.

Coureur Nick Heidfeld: De vraag die iedereen nu stelt en waar we in Spanje antwoord op krijgen is: hebben de nieuwe onderdelen die we na de eerste drie races op de F1.08 het gewenste effect? Ik ben ook benieuwd of we met onze ontwikkelingen meer progressie zullen maken dan de concurrentie. In ieder geval zullen wij minstens net zo sterk zijn als in Australië, Maleisië en Bahrein.

Teamgenoot Robert Kubica: Iedereen reist in topvorm naar Barcelona af. Ik denk dat alle teams met een herziene auto aan de start verschijnt. Dat betekent dat wij het maximale uit de F1.08 moeten halen en de test van afgelopen week heeft mij gesterkt in mijn overtuiging dat wij dat kunnen. En dat zorgt er automatisch weer voor dat ik vooraan mee kan doen. Mijn doel is om zoveel mogelijk punten voor mezelf en het team te halen.

Teambaas Mario Theissen: De drie weken die tussen Bahrein en Spanje zit gebruiken wij voor een intensieve voorbereiding op de race in Barcelona. De komende Grand Prix is bijna een tweede start van het seizoen. Iedereen zal een stap voorwaarts maken, inclusief wijzelf. Na de Grand Prix van Spanje zal het iets duidelijker zijn hoe de verhoudingen liggen.

BMW Sauber kijkt reikhalzend uit naar volgende race en niet alleen bmw de hele race wereld.ben benieuwd of ze mclaren echt voorbij zijn ik hoop het .ferarri is nu nog iets te veel maar daar word aan gewerkt, dus gaan met de wagen

Het was een bittere teleurstelling om Felipe Massa al na 100 meter voor de BWM van Kubica, die veel teveel wilspin had, te zien. Als BWM echt zo graag naar de race uitkijkt mogen we wel aannemen dat ze een stap voorwaarts hebben gemaakt, \'wij zijn benieuwd\'.
