Mosley laat Grand Prix van Spanje aan zich voorbij gaan

Max Mosley, de onder vuur liggende voorzitter van de internationale autosportbond FIA, zal geen acte de présence geven bij de Grand Prix van Spanje. De in een seksschandaal verwikkelde Engelsman liet de Grand Prix van Bahrein ook al aan zich voorbij gaan.

Dat was hem nadrukkelijk verzocht door de kroonprins van Bahrein. Voor de Grand Prix van Spanje is Mosley niet gevraagd om weg te blijven. Hij verkiest een bezoek aan de allereerste rally van Jordanië, meetellend voor het World Rally Championship (WRC), boven een trip naar Barcelona.

Prins Feisal al Hussein, tevens voorzitter van de Jordaanse autosportbond, is gelukkig met de aanwezigheid van Mosley. Max is al tijden een goede vriend en bondgenoot van Jordanië en hij was een enorme steun toen we drie jaar geleden met het bod voor een rally kwamen. We zijn dan ook verheugd dat hij deze historische gebeurtenis samen met ons wil meemaken, aldus de prins op de officiële website van de rally van Jordanië.
