Verstappen: "Laat remmen is belangrijk op Monza en dat ligt mij wel"

Jos Verstappen begint met Van Merksteijn Motorsport vrijdag aan het tweede weekend van de Le Mans Series. De openingsrace op het circuit van Barcelona verliep met een pole position en de zege glorieus. De tweede race vindt plaats op het circuit van Monza, waarop Verstappen in 2000 met de Arrows al eens schitterde. Het vertrouwen bij de Nederlander is groot dat hij dat komend weekend opnieuw kan.

Verstappen zegt op zijn website: “Ik voel me er altijd goed thuis. Laat remmen is er belangrijk en dat ligt me wel. Er zijn maar weinig bochten op Monza, het circuit bestaat voornamelijk uit lange rechte stukken. Een goede balans bij het aanremmen is erg belangrijk, en dan vanuit de bochten weer voldoende snelheid meenemen voor de rechte stukken. Ik verwacht de voornaamste concurrentie in onze klasse van de andere Porsche-teams. Qua snelheid zit het met de Porsche RS Spyder wel goed, daar heb ik alle vertrouwen in!”

    Ik vind het zo als Verstappen het doet toch stukken mooier als dat Hamelton het met Alonso deed @ PP inderdaad zonder Jos zouden ze nu noch steeds alleen naar DAF races op Zandfoort kijken

    Sorry maar ik heb jos verstappen alleen soms zien rijden in a1gp dus hij heeft geen invloed op mij gehad of wat dan ook!

    En ik vind tussendoor even Jos verstappen geen slechte rijder maar zijn ego is gewoon zo groot waardoor ik hem mag net zoals Alonso

    Nou CDK verstappen is wel een goeie rijder alleen veel te agrassief.. Alleen kan hij niet topen aan de beste natuurlijk.
