Franse rechtbank kan video Mosley niet van internet halen

De Franse rechtbank heeft bekend gemaakt dat het niet de macht heeft om de beruchte video van Max Mosley van de Franse internetsite van News of the World te halen. Max Mosley had dit geëist na het online komen van de video.

Hoewel de video dus online blijft, kwam de rechtbank wel tot de conclusie dat de foto's in de papieren versie van News of the World in strijd zijn met de Franse privacy-wet. De krant is verplicht alle exemplaren die in omloop zijn in Frankrijk uit de schappen te halen.

Vla na alle ophef is de video verwijderd van de site, maar werd teruggezet nadat een Britse rechtbank niet bij machte was de video te verbieden. "We kunnen alleen iets doen aan de foto's. Die tonen de seksuele bezigheden van volwassen mensen. Die mogen nooit openbaar gemaakt worden door andere mensen dan de mensen die erbij betrokken zijn," aldus de rechtbank.
