Danica Patrick toont interesse in Formule 1-test

Kersvers IndyCar-racewinnaar Danica Patrick heeft laten weten geinteresseerd te zijn in een Formule 1-test bij het team van Honda. Die link was meteen gelegd omdat de Japanners haar team van motoren voorziet in de IndyCars.

Patrick benadrukt echter wel dat het om een serieuze test moet gaan. "Iedere coureur droomt ervan om ooit een Formule 1-wagen te besturen, dus ja, waarom niet. Maar het moet wel een serieuze test zijn. In 2005 ben ik gevraagd enkele demonstratieronden te rijden in Indianapolis. Maar dat doe ik echt niet, dan ben ik echt onderdeel van een show. Als ik een keer een echte serieuze test kan doen, zal ik het aanbod zeker accepteren."
