Barrichello: "Ik had veel meer kunnen bereiken"

Honda-coureur Rubens Barrichello is sinds afgelopen weekend in het bezit van een record. De Braziliaan reed de meeste Grands Prix. Hij begon in 1993 bij Jordan en nam sindsdien deel aan 257 Formule 1-races. Daarvan won hij er negen, maar Barrichello meent dat het er veel meer hadden moeten zijn.

Ik heb in geweldige autos gereden en ik ben blij met mijn negen zeges, zegt de Honda-coureur. En we kunnen nu doorgaan en zeggen dat ik achttien of zevenentwintig races had moeten winnen. Ik weet alleen dat ik het veel beter zou hebben gedaan als de opvattingen bij elk team hetzelfde zouden zijn als bij Jordan of Stewart, of bij nu Honda.

Bij Ferrari ging het anders. We kregen wel hetzelfde materiaal, maar Michael Schumacher kreeg altijd de eerste keus in de strategie. Daarom ben ik ook zo tevreden met mijn negen overwinningen. Ik moest niet alleen Michael en de rest van de coureurs verslaan, maar ook Ferrari, want ik was altijd de tweede keus.

Maar je zal mij niet horen klagen, ik treur er niet om. Ik voel me goed en ben nog bezig aan een hele mooie loopbaan. Ik heb ook veel geleerd en ben volwassen geworden in deze wereld. Ik denk echter wel dat ik meer had kunnen bereiken.

Als ik rubens was dan zocht ik contakt met VJ van Force India kijk eens wat die Italiaan daar nog kan presteren met een goede motor. Met Fisico en Rubens laten ze de rest een poepie ruiken.

NIet mee zitten? Volgens mij is het de derde keer in twee weken dat je hem hoort klagen over zijn tijd bij Ferrari? De man had daar veel eerder weg moeten gaan. Onee, toch niet... had hij bij een minder team gereden en hij had zelf nooit de swung naar boven kunnen bewerkstelligen(zie Honda)...

De man zijn negen overwinning zijn mogelijk gemaakt door Ferrari en Schumacher en niet ondanks...

Helemaal mee eens !!! ... mede dankzij, niet ondanks Ferrari ...

Daarbij vergeet Rubens gemakshalve maar dat hij precies wist waar hij aan begon bij Ferrari. Eddie Irvine is het namelijk niet veel anders afgegaan. Juist zijn kwaliteiten om op gepaste momenten zijn mond te houden en geen echte winnaar te zijn heeft hem in de F1 ver gebracht. Eerst bij Ferrari en nu bij Honda.

Het is lang geleden maar als ik me niet vergis vergeet meneer daarnaast ook maar dat hij in zijn laatste Jordan jaren en bij Stewart juist hij diegene was die het beste materiaal kreeg.

Weg met de oude zeuren uit de F1. Er zijn er meerderen die al aan het terug kijken zijn op hun carriere, terwijl ze nog racen. Hoezo ballen ...

Wel opmerkelijk dat Rubens bij Honda doorgaans beter qualificeert dan Jenson, maar dat Jenson duidelijk beter presteert tijdens de races ...

Zou ook nu Jenson telkens de eerste keus krijgen mbt de racestrategie? Ach, dat horen we na 3 jaar wel!?

Zoals (volgens mij inmiddels wel duidelijk) ik al eerder gezegd heb, die Barrichello is meer bezig naast de baan dan er op.

Als hij het er allemaal niet meer mee eens is moet hij stoppen!! En dat vind ik zeker niet erg! Die vent is veel te oud en aan het eind van zijn latijn!

Hij kon niet veel, maar hij kan nu helemaal niets meer! Weg met die Rubens! En Coulthard ook... Ik kan het niet vaak genoeg zeggen! Weg met die ouden en laat mensen als Guido van der Garde o.i.d. eens in die auto rijden en laten zien wat ze kunnen.

Zo, dat is de laatste keer dat ik me zo heb uitgelaten over 1 van deze 3 personen. Ben nu duidelijk genoeg volgens mij!!

Ben het wel met je eens, maar ik heb niet de indruk dat ofwel DC, of Rubens, of ??? je berichtje daadwerkelijk onder ogen zullen krijgen.

Laat staan dat ze je raad zullen opvolgen ;o)
