Regenrace in Monaco lijkt een feit te worden

De Grand Prix van Monaco zal vanmiddag om twee uur lokale tijd van start gaan in het prinsdom van Monte Carlo. De hele week zijn er al diverse weersvoorspellingen gegeven waarbij het op zaterdag en zondag zou gaan regenen.

Op donderdag was de baan droog en scheen de zon vrijwel de hele dag. Gisteren tijdens de kwalificatie regende het niet, maar een uur erna tijdens de GP2-race kwamen er wel enkele druppels naar beneden.

Vanochtend tijdens de Porsche Super Cup bleek dat de hemel was los gebarsten. Een regenrace waarbij crashes te zien waren en het voortdurend regende, won Jeroen Bleekemolen de race. Aan de lucht is te zien dat het vrijwel niet zal opklaren en de start van de Grand Prix sowieso op een nat circuit plaats zal vinden.
