Prost voelt wel wat voor leidende rol bij FIA

Oud Formule 1-coureur Alain Prost heeft wel interesse in een leidende rol bij de internationale autosportbond FIA. De Fransman heeft er wel oren naar om na het Max Mosley-tijdperk een functie te bekleden in de federatie. De rol van algemeen voorzitter is daarentegen niet aan de viervoudig wereldkampioen besteed.

Prost pleit voor een splitsing van de taken in een sportieve kant en algemene zaken. Als ze dat doen, dan zou ik wel overwegen om de helpende hand uit te steken op het sportieve gebied. Ik zie alleen een functie voor mij weggelegd als ik puur over het sportieve gedeelte ga. Ik ken de FIA, ik ken de World Motor Sport Council en ik ken de Formule 1-commissie. Op het sportieve gebied wil ik wel een rol vervullen.
