Trulli niet bezorgd na mislukte Grand Prix van Monaco

Toyota-coureur Jarno Trulli eindigde afgelopen zondag als dertiende in de Grand Prix van Monaco. Daar kan en mag de Italiaan niet tevreden mee zijn. Zijn Japanse werkgever lijkt na de vierde plek in Maleisië steeds verder terug te zakken, maar Trulli maakt zich geen zorgen. Monaco is een uniek circuit en in de volgende race moet het weer beter gaan.

Trulli: Monaco is een speciaal circuit en de omstandigheden waren zondag ongewoon. Dus ik maak me niet echt druk om het slechte resultaat van afgelopen weekend. Ik verwacht ook niet dat we dezelfde problemen zullen hebben in Montreal. In de regen waren we op weg naar een goede positie, we hoeven hierdoor niet bij de pakken neer te zitten. Ik ga naar Canada met net zoveel optimisme als altijd.

Montreal is een mooie plek om naartoe te gaan, de sfeer is er altijd goed. De lay-out van het circuit is compleet anders dan Monaco. Je hebt veel minder downforce nodig en remmen zijn zeer belangrijk in Canada. In Paul Ricard hebben we door de regen weinig getest op de Montreal-configuratie, maar we hebben natuurlijk nog wel data uit de voorgaande jaren. Toch had het beter geweest als we tijdens die test nuttige informatie hadden vergaard.
