Het Formule 1-team van Ferrari krijgt geen financiële middelen van automerk Fiat. Dat zegt Luca di Montezemolo, directeur van Ferrari en voorzitter van Fiat. Het Formule 1-team van Ferrari krijgt geen stuiver van Fiat. Ik denk dat veel mensen dat soms niet begrijpen.

Daarom vindt hij het extra mooi dat het team grote autofabrikanten als BMW, Mercedes, Honda, Renault en Toyota toch kan verslaan. Voor een klein bedrijf zoals het onze is het geweldig dat we de grote jongens voor kunnen blijven.

Het Formule 1-team van Ferrari leeft nu van sponsors en autoverkopen. Di Montezemolo sluit uit dat het Italiaanse merk naar de beurs gaat om meer financiën te werven. Dat nooit. Alhoewel, zeg nooit nooit. Misschien is de situatie over tien, vijftien jaar anders. Maar nu absoluut niet.
