Oud-Formule 1-fotograaf Bernard Cahier overleden

De bekende Franse oud-Formule 1-fotograaf Bernard Cahier is gisteren op 81-jarige leeftijd overleden. De Fransman was bijna veertig jaar lang een bekend gezicht in de paddock en was vanaf 1983 ook actief als pr-chef voor GoodYear in de Formule 1. Vanaf dat jaar werd de fotografie ook overgenomen door zijn zoon Paul-Henri.

Het Cahier-archief is nog steeds een van de meest complete foto-archieven in de Formule 1. Zoon Paul-Henri kwam recent nog in het nieuws vanwege zijn aanvaring met wereldkampioen Kimi Raikkonen op de startopstelling in Silverstone afgelopen zondag.
