Rosberg: "Punten scoren wordt zware opgave"

Williams-coureur Nico Rosberg denkt dat zijn team het heel moeilijk gaat krijgen om komend weekend in de Grand Prix van Duitsland punten te scoren. Na zijn podiumplek in de eerste race in Melbourne pakte de jonge Duitser slechts twee maal een punt. Hij houdt er rekening mee dat hij ook in zijn thuisrace geen punten aan zijn totaal van acht kan toevoegen.

Rosberg: Ik heb mooie herinneringen aan de Hockenheimring en heb hier in andere raceseries races gewonnen. Ik kijk uit naar de race voor mijn thuispubliek. Het is altijd mooi om veel steun van de fans te krijgen. De Duitse fans zorgen voor een geweldige sfeer, want ze juichen voor iedereen.

Wat het circuit zelf betreft, daar ben ik een liefhebber van. De Hockenheimring moet onze auto ook beter liggen dan de laatste circuits waarop we geracet hebben. Desondanks denk ik dat het heel moeilijk gaat worden om zondag in de punten te eindigen omdat het veld zo dicht bij elkaar ligt. Ik ga hoe dan ook mijn uiterste best doen.
