Glock: "Ik wil in 2010 met Toyota wereldkampioen worden"

Toyota-coureur Timo Glock laat over zijn ambities geen twijfel bestaan: hij wil wereldkampioen Formule 1 worden, het liefst in een Toyota. Volgend jaar komt nog te vroeg, maar in 2010 moeten de Japanse renstal en de Duitse coureur samen een gooi doen naar de titel.

In Sport Bild meldt Glock: Aan het begin van dit seizoen was al duidelijk dat het moeilijk zou zijn om een ervaren coureur als Jarno Trulli meteen te verslaan. Nu we negen races verder zijn zit ik veel dichter bij hem in de buurt en kan ik hem soms voorblijven. Op die weg wil ik verder.

Mijn doel is duidelijk: in 2010 wil ik wereldkampioen worden met Toyota, hoewel sommige mensen daar misschien om moeten lachen. Maar ik zet graag hoge doelen waar ik hard voor moet werken. Dat gaan we ook doen en dan zien we tegen die tijd wel hoe het loopt.
