Voormalig fysio Schumacher in dienst bij Force India

Balbir Singh, de voormalig fysiotherapeut van zevenvoudig wereldkampioen Michael Schumacher, werkt nu voor het team van Force India. Singh was ruim tien jaar lang verantwoordelijk voor de fitheid van de Duitser en moet nu de conditie van Giancarlo Fisichella, Adrian Sutil en Vitantonio Liuzzi op peil zien te houden.

Hij stapte in 2005 op als fysiotherapeut van Schumacher om meer tijd voor zijn familie vrij te maken. Destijds zei Michael Schumacher in Bild: Balbir is een van de weinige mensen die ik voor 150 procent kan vertrouwen. Dit afscheid doet me pijn. Ik zal hem zeker missen. Ik moet gewoon accepteren dat hij aan een nieuwe fase in zijn leven wil beginnen. Na ruim twee jaar afwezigheid is Singh nu dus terug in de wereld van de Formule 1.
