Trulli verwacht dat Toyota goede vorm vasthoudt

Jarno Trulli ziet geen redenen waarom zijn team Toyota niet competitief zal blijven tot het einde van het seizoen. De Italiaan denkt dat de Japanse renstal de vierde plek in het constructeurkampioenschap kan behouden. Toyota gaat volgens hem in de resterende acht races constant goed presteren.

Trulli: We werken hard om de vierde positie in de titelstrijd te consolideren en we hebben maar één punt voorsprong op Red Bull Racing en twee op Renault. Ik denk dat wij de rest van het jaar competitief blijven, ik zie niet in waarom niet. We hebben al veel progressie laten zien dit jaar en er zit nog veel meer aan te komen.

Deze week staat de test in het teken van hard werken en dat moet ons in staat stellen om in Hongarije mee te doen voor de punten. We concentreren ons op het optimaliseren van de hoge downforce afstelling voor de TF108. In de fabriek wordt goed arbeid geleverd en dat is de voornaamste reden van onze vooruitgang. Het gevecht om de vierde plek is verre van over, maar we zijn vastberaden om onze positie vast te houden.
