Vodafone in de problemen, sponsorcontracten niet in gevaar

Arun Sarin, de directeur van Vodafone, heeft ontkent dat het sponsorcontract met McLaren Mercedes op het spel staat. Onlangs werd bekend dat de cijfers van het tweede kwartaal dusdanig tegenvielen dat de aandelen van Vodafone flink zakten. Daarop kondigde de huidige directeur bezuinigingsmaatregelen aan.

Een woordvoerder: "Het is niet realistisch dat er bij deze bezuinigingsmaatregelen ook naar de sponsorcontracten wordt gekeken."

De huidige directeur had overigens zijn vertrek al aangekondigd en wordt volgende week opgevolgd.
