Exclusief: Carlo van Dam test Super GT

Carlo van Dam zal vandaag en morgen een Super GT-wagen testen van het TOM's Team in Japan, zo kunnen wij exclusief melden. De 22-jarige coureur rijdt dit jaar in Japan in het Formule 3-kampioenschap en staat ruim aan de leiding.

Carlo rijdt het Japans Formule 3-kampioenschap voor het team van TOM's, waardoor hij de kans krijgt om de Super GT-wagen de testen. Carlo vertelt aan F1Today.nl: "Ik was verrast. Het team vertelde me dat ze mij deze kans wilde geven als bedankje voor het goede werk van dit jaar tot nu toe. De Super GT is een hele mooie spannende klasse met veel fans in Japan. Je kunt het vergelijken met een DTM of WTCC-auto."

"Hoeveel rondjes ik zal testen zullen we op woensdag en donderdag zelf gaan zien. Het is een bandentest in Motegi, ter voorbereiding op de eerst volgende race die hier zal plaatsvinden. Misschien worden het 5 rondjes, maar het kunnen er ook gerust 25 worden. Ik ben in ieder geval blij met deze kans en kijk er naar uit om in de Lexus te mogen testen!"
