Petrobras wil Senna aan racestoeltje in Formule 1 helpen

Bruno Senna krijgt in zijn zoektocht naar een racecontract bij een Formule 1-team wellicht de hulp van Petrobras. De Braziliaanse oliefirma zou van plan zijn om een substantiële financiële bijdrage te leveren voor een eventuele entree van Senna in de koningsklasse van de autosport.

Petrobras is al sponsor van Williams en volgens de geruchten is Senna in beeld bij de Britse renstal. Maar ook Honda zou hem willen hebben, net als BMW Sauber en Toyota. Bij de laatste twee gaat het echter om een testzitje.

Senna onthulde in GPWeek dat hij een jaar testen niet erg zou vinden. Als een erg goed team me een testcontract aanbiedt voor één jaar en dat ik daarna een racestoeltje krijg, dan is dat een goed vooruitzicht. Maar ik geef toch de voorkeur aan meteen racen.
