Kovalainen zet McLaren en Ferrari op gelijke hoogte

Heikki Kovalainen denkt dat zijn team McLaren en concurrent Ferrari niets voor elkaar onderdoen. De kersverse Grand Prix-winaar ziet geen uitgesproken favoriet voor de titel. Kovalainen: Ferrari en McLaren liggen dicht bij elkaar en het is echt heel moeilijk om te voorspellen hoe de strijd zal aflopen.

De Fin vervolgt: Het hangt elke Grand Prix weer van de vorm van de dag af. Het is momenteel zelfs zo competitief dat je de afstelling van je auto en het gevoel van de banden perfect in orde moet hebben. Anders ben je meteen niet snel genoeg en heb je zo drie, vier coureurs die harder gaan en voor je eindigen.

Dat is vrij interessant voor ons als deelnemers en volgens mij is het ook wel spectaculair voor de fans. Het legt een enorme druk op onze schouders om elke keer het maximale uit onze kansen te halen. Iedereen kan zich opmaken voor een aantrekkelijk einde van het seizoen waarbij iedereen zijn best doet om zo hoog mogelijk te eindigen.
